The Impact Awards honor employees from across the Company who improve safety, successfully execute Our Strategy, and make Carpenter Technology a great place to work.

Teams can submit in any of the following categories:

Safety: recognizes the team who largely contributed to the overall safety or environmental health of our company. This team embodies a zero-injury workplace mindset and always encourages their surrounding colleagues to remain safety-focused and engaged.

Technology Development: recognizes the team who showcases success in developing products and solutions based on customers’ needs and anticipated challenges.

Operational Excellence: recognizes the team who consistently evaluates and improves process work flows while employing root cause problem-solving.

Strategic Marketing: recognizes a future-driven team who translates goals and strategies into actionable plans, further driving and supporting the go-to-market approach.

Talent Engagement: recognizes the team who has completed a project focused on acquiring new talent and/or implementing an attractive mix of rewards and recognition, while demonstrating passion for improving employees’ careers.

During the submission period (April 29 through June 28, 2024), if you are an employee who feels that your team has significantly contributed to one or more of the five awards categories, you are encouraged to enter by clicking here, filling out the required information AND uploading your video. Prior to completing the online submission, you should receive approval from your site leader and a Project Sponsor.

All employees are invited and encouraged to submit their team projects for consideration. Teams can consist of a team captain + up to 4 additional members (5 employees in total), no exceptions.

A project is a task or assignment that was voluntarily produced or executed by a team, with goals that mirror our safety culture or one of Our Strategy’s four Areas of Excellence.

The submission period is open between Monday, April 29, and Friday, June June 28, 2024. All entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on June 28 to be eligible.

Each submission category will be judged by the Executive Team and selected by the CEO.

Yes. A video submission is required for your project. Videos can be fun and exciting and do not need to be professionally produced. Read our guide to video submission tips and instructions.

Videos are recommended to be a minute and a half to two minutes in length

If you are selected as a finalist, you may be asked to revise/edit your video prior to the Impact Awards event.
